About Suzanne
2009 marks Suzanne Davis’ 40th Anniversary in the art world. She has enjoyed a multi-faceted career that spans two continents and a lifetime of learning.
For the last 21 years Ms. Davis has been President of Christie’s Canada Inc., and a Senior Vice President of Christie’s Inc. in America. In this position she worked closely with Christie’s headquarters in London and New York to manage and develop Christie’s clientele and business operations across Canada. She is an International Representative for Christie’s and maintains close contact with the many clients who wish to buy and sell at international auction or by private sale.
Ms. Davis is a Trustee of the Textile Museum of Canada and Chair of the Acquisitions Committee. She is also on the National Advisory Board for the Canadian Friends of the Israel Museum, and a member of the Exhibitions & Education Committee at the Gardiner Museum, Toronto. She is also closely involved with the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
A frequent guest auctioneer, Ms. Davis has taken benefit auctions for public art institutions in Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria, as well as numerous groups and non-profit organizations including The Canadian Opera, The Asthma Society, Prostate Cancer Research, Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation, POGO, and SickKids Hospital, to name but a few.
