Hosted by the dynamic mother/daughter duo of Sonia and Jacquie Labatt, this special afternoon tea will be a multi-generational celebration of women supporting, empowering and inspiring women – here and across the globe.
CapaciTea™ was created not only as an occasion to socialize and network with women of all ages, but also as a means to inspire young women poised on the thresholds of their careers. During the afternoon, we will auction off once-in-a-lifetime “mentorship” experiences graciously donated by a variety of Canada’s most influential women and their organizations. These “mentorships” offer entrée into the inner workings of some of today’s most sought-after professions. They include one-of-a-kind interactions with top female business leaders in such fields as journalism, design, fashion, entertainment and media, as well as 2 exclusive visits to the set of the top-rated show, So You Think You Can Dance Canada™.
In addition to our mentors’ generous donations of time, access, insight and acumen, all proceeds raised will go to support HealthyKids International (HKI), an initiative of SickKids Foundation. HKI is a program designed to build paediatric healthcare capacity in some of the developing world’s most underserved communities. Throughout the afternoon, you will hear first-hand how your participation in CapaciTea™ is helping transform children’s health care on a global scale.
Our emcee for the afternoon is MTV host Jessi Cruickshank and our guest auctioneer is Suzanne Davis, International Representative of Christie’s.
